Growing up in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, I witnessed firsthand the relentless resilience of my parents. My father, a veteran and factory supervisor, worked tirelessly for little reward, while my mother, a Portuguese immigrant living with a rare disability, endured significant challenges to keep our family afloat. At twelve, I experienced a life-altering event when I was struck by a pickup truck, leaving us grappling with overwhelming medical bills. Watching my parents' unwavering effort despite systemic setbacks ingrained in me a deep commitment to fairness and justice—values that drive me every day as your attorney.
After completing my undergraduate studies at the University of Louisville, I spent a decade in the workforce. My journey traversed a variety of roles—inside courtrooms, factories, construction sites, and even behind bars (as a bartender and waiter, that is!). Each job enriched my understanding of hard work and dedication, but none ignited my passion the way law did. Before pursuing my degree at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in Louisville, I gained valuable experience in personal injury law, covering every non-lawyer position in the firm. I graduated Magna Cum Laude, as a Moot Court National Finalist, fortified by the support of my family and inspired by my daughter.
Since 2007, I've proudly been part of this vibrant community. The people of Louisville and Kentucky are my neighbors, and I am honored to advocate for them. My office is conveniently located between the Portland and Russell neighborhoods, setting me apart from other attorneys by being closer to where many of my clients live.
